Refer-a-friend competition: rules

Refer 10 friends who are looking for work and stand a chance to win R1,000. These are the full rules (terms and conditions).

1. Promoter. This competition is run by Zip Rides (Pty) Ltd ("we"), the company behind FindJob SA. It is a promotional competition under South Africa's Consumer Protection Act.
2. Competition period. The competition starts on the day it is first shown on this website and closes on 31 March 2028 at 23:59. Referrals made after that time do not count.
3. Free to enter. There is no cost to enter and you do not need to buy anything. Only your normal data costs to use the website apply. We will never ask you to pay money or airtime, or for your bank PIN or passwords, to enter or to claim the prize.
4. Who can enter. Anyone aged 18 or older who has signed up on FindJob SA and lives in South Africa. Employees and directors of the promoter, and their immediate families, may not win.
5. How to enter. After you sign up you get your own referral code and link. Share the link with people who are looking for work. You may only share the link. Your friend must open it and sign up themselves, on their own, with their own details. Never fill in the form for someone else.
6. What counts as a valid referral. A referral is valid when the person you referred:
   • is looking for work and answers "Yes" to "Are you currently unemployed?" on the sign-up form,
   • completes the sign-up through your link before the closing time, and
   • uses a cell number that has not signed up before.
   You cannot refer yourself. Signing up again with the same cell number does not count as a new referral.
7. Qualifying for the draw. To be in the draw you must have at least 10 valid referrals by the closing time. If you have fewer than 10, you are not in the draw. Once you qualify, each valid referral is one entry. For example, someone with 14 valid referrals has 14 entries.
8. Disqualification. Fake, duplicate or made-up sign-ups, sign-ups made without the person's knowledge, numbers that are not real or do not answer, and any attempt to cheat the system are disqualified. We may check referrals (for example by calling the referred person) and may remove entries, or disqualify a referrer, if we reasonably believe the rules were broken.
9. The draw. On 15 April 2028 one winner is drawn at random from the entries of everyone who qualified (at least 10 valid referrals). Every entry has the same chance of being drawn, so more valid referrals mean a better chance. To win, you must still be signed up on FindJob SA and reachable on your cell number at the time of the draw.
10. Contacting the winner. We contact the winner by phone or WhatsApp on the cell number they signed up with. If we cannot reach the winner within 14 days, or the winner does not meet these rules, we may draw another winner.
11. The prize. The prize is R1,000, once-off. There is one prize and each person can win only once. It is not transferable and will be paid by EFT into a South African bank account in the winner's own name.
12. Claiming the prize. When claiming, the winner must show a valid South African ID, passport or work permit, and the name on it must match the name on the bank account.
13. Publicity. By entering, you agree that if you win, a photo of you, your first name and your town may be published on FindJob SA's website and social media. The winner signs a short photo and publicity consent form when claiming the prize.
14. Your information. We use your sign-up details as described in the privacy notice on the sign-up form. For this competition we also record your referral code and which code referred each person. We do not share referred people's details with the person who referred them.
